Its not so much I want dont want commitment,
I want to grow as a person
to find my own path perhaps
But to know someone
does love and care for me
But to not have the chance,
of someone taking that last piece left of a heart
who's been broken too many times before

I find this a little contradicting, the author doesn't want commitment but for someone to love him/her ? Odd if you ask me

love

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlRF5Zqqxzo

Rob Bell talks about the three different types of love in the Hebrew language

Raya - love of friendship, soul mate
Ahava - deep affection, your heart aches for someone
dod - to fondle, the physically aspect

After watching this I wanted to write a blog about it because it seems like there are too many people together now a days that dont have all three of these forms of love but of dod they want someone for the physically aspect but not that they are their best friend they can talk to them about everything and anything and your heart burns without your special person around you cant think about much else

I like how Rob explains these forms as flames you have to have all three flames.

gobal diversity

Global diversity has made a large impact in my 18 years of being on this earth. The different cultures and societies we see around the world are so intriguing. While I’ve only scratched the surface of the different religions and cultures that are all around us, it seems as though there is so much more we as a society can educate ourselves about.

I believe that International studies are making a positive difference in our community because with that knowledge we have a better understanding of the world around us and how they approach similar problems that we face. I feel that it is important to open our eyes and see that we are not the center of the universe, and that there are people practicing different cultures, which while different from ours, we all share the same goal; to improve the lives of their fellow citizens.

By further understanding the diversities we share as a race I feel as though we can bring different countries, religions and cultures together creating some sense of peace and prosperity into our workplace, schools which can further develop our community.

It appears we are confronted with the same events on a day by bay basis: violence, crime, wars, and disasters. It’s hard to imagine a day without something awful happening. With our access to the internet today it has given our generation the ability to see and experience so much more of the events that unfold around the world as they occur on a daily basis. Mainstream media seems to have a tendency to focus on negativity and fear inducing stories. This awareness of fear and tension should make any compassionate person question the progress of our world, and what we can contribute as a community to make it a better place to be.

As our world globalizes; while our nations and economies become more integrated, it is important to understand our world and the ideas and beliefs of our neighbors and trading partners.

In order for our society to compete in the international marketplace of products, ideas and knowledge we need to understand and respect the cultures and beliefs of others. There is a quote by a famous pastor which I find fits well with my theory. "Why blame the dark for being dark? It is far more helpful to ask why the light isn’t as bright as it could be." By asking myself that question it’s far more reasonable to understand the different political and economic issues surrounding us and how it’s changing our world and creating a more defined and diverse community. Rather than to judge it and question other cultures we have not yet put the effort into to fully understanding our own.

I hope by getting a better understanding of these different cultures, religions and ideas I can blend them together with my current study and assimilate better solutions to problems faced and make a positive difference our community.

true love?

when i feel your heart beating against mine and feel your lips meet mine that there is something there, a thing that we don't understand that is kind that is patient that is love and i could not say how much that i have loved what has already happened and just hope that it continues to be so even if this doesn't work out.

If someone said something like this to you would you call it true love?

love is a mess

A part of me know's that love never last's as much as we say it will,
In the end someone gets hurt love is
painful
tedious
confusing

but apart of life, when you learn to love your self and someone else for everything they are worth
that's apart of growing up

Im not one to talk just getting out of a two and a half year relationship but only last week my parents liked him but probably not so much if they found out what he did, but really who says they would cheat on someone then say uhh what are you talking about that never happened, I gave him a second chance before and I was fed up with trying to make everything work, it wasnt a relationship it felt more like a job a chore even

I think once you find that special person you can share all your secrets with who loves all of your flaws and calls you beautiful instead of you look good or hot its the best feeling someone who can be your best friend and is always there to comfort you when things arnt going so great.
Somebody who accepts mistakes you might have made in the past relationships and is OKAY with it and doesn't push or hint at any ideas thats when you know you've met the right person in your life who knows you might know them right now life has a strange way of bringing people together sometimes it might be messy but brings people together with all the right intentions.

love is a mess
but a part of life
is a part of growing up
it might hurt a little
but its a sign your still alive
